Hi Dreamer,

We don't have a policy as such but I think it would be a good idea to come up with some basic rules so its clear.

Currently we've left it up to the Author as to when they release a map to us, but if it's early in the development and intention of posting the map is for a preview or some specific early feedback then we like to have that clear. If the map is at a point where it can run on a server without admins monitoring then we'll post it on the Map Download List, until then you can just post links in the forums.

In fact, 151Alpha as done exactly that with his latest Ancient Ruin, he has posted it simply to give us a feel of where its heading.

When it comes to posting your map in the downloads area the most important thing is making sure the version is clear. Naming your map files so they include the version number makes it easier for people to track what version they have and weather they need to download a new one, we also have a field for version which is filled in when submitting a map in the downloads area.
