Hi Guys,

I got a PM from GoCat. His request is more suited to this forum for the community to have a look at.

Background: I was discussing SF Hospital and how none of the versions out there work, then GoCat mentioned SF Hospital NE, I had a look offline and its got a good layout... A fun looking map, but it doesn't run on the servers.

This is a summary of the message.
i managed to get the map working, it was missing a sound file
- S_AAO_LvL_FirstAid.uax (viewing the server.log)
- Adding the file server side, the map now loads.

Just the guns dont work...

Could not find DamageObjective for DamageTag Civiliandamage..

Maybe someone who knows how to use the editor can do the fixes listed in this link at AA Forums, if its the fix... so it will work on v2.8.5.

The map is in our WIP section, which I'm uploading now, so give it a few mins to show.

Thanks for any help in getting it running, a coop version could even be fun.... the layout and design of the level is a good addition to the original Hospy MP.

The file S_AAO_LvL_FirstAid.uax is from an old version of AA that has been removed for v2.8.5. I added this back in to get the server side working.

I assume this is the major issue with the map, it references files/objects that have been removed in the newer version. I guess to simplify the later versions possibly.

A skilled person that knows there way around Map editor and knows how to find the problem items to what the new version uses should be able to fix this.

It is a great version of the map and anyone that likes hospital would like this one better than the original.

guns don't work ... ok it seems spawn bug. not your fault.

"myLevel package" in SF Dockside cause this problem. so, delete StaticMesh'myLevel.Movers.GarageDoor'. use other mesh and sound instead of this.

Sound'myLevel.bellbuoy'
Sound'myLevel.factorywhistle'
Sound'myLevel.rollerdoorup'
StaticMesh'myLevel.Movers.GarageDoor'

Those materials in SFDockside cause spawn bug.

Handy info... that I understand, but I'm not up to making the edits and I'm not sure if GoCat is, his just found the map.

So another request: would someone like to try and do the fixes mentioned by Alpha, it sounds like swapping some sound classes and changing the roller door mesh.

A good way to get started with editing I'd think?

If you'd like to give it a go, make a reply post so we don't have to many trying.
